The work on dairy goats presented here is the result of the collaboration of ILCA with the Ngozi goat project in Burundi. Two points are noteworthy. Firstly, dairy goat production has been promoted in mixed crop-livestock systems. Secondly, crossbreeding has often been used to boost goat productivity.
